Night on Balled mountain!! Can't resist that!! Morning came with a sliver of crimson. I grabbed my blankets and stumbled outside the car (where I slept) to the field near the Ball Pipe. Leaned up against some rocks and  watched the sun continue to rise. I did not sleep outside for fear of spiders, scorpions and snakes! I learned latter in the morning there was nothing to fear plus the ground was loam soft. When I was a kid,  I got to sleep outside under the stars in an open field thanks to the Girl Scouts and it was the most beautiful thing. I woke up with a swollen hand from an unseen spider. Lasting impression! In New Zealand, there are none of those things I was worried about. On the left is "Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dali.
