"Painting has been my passion
since early childhood. Although the
range of my work has widened over the
past twenty years, in that diversity,
a constancy of the brilliant colors
of the flora and fauna of my native
Columbia appears in most of my paintings.
My early subjects include nature scenery,
human subjects and compositions of
pre-Columbian pottery highlighting our
ubiquitous orchids.
In some surrealistic paintings,
I like to express my feelings and the
beauty of life and to vent the stress
of inner tension. I practice Emergency
Medicine; a fast paced specialty
filled with the stress of daily human drama.
Painting places me into a relaxing,
sublime-like state of mind."
