Steven M. Schonfeld MD

Steven Schonfeld became interested in photography at the age of 13 after seeing the movie "Blow-Up". He set up a dark room at home in a large basement closet and started photographing his neighborhood of Sheepshead Bay and Manhatten Beach. He was particularly interested in street photography.

"Most people were very receptive to having a young teenager take their picture. I now concentrate on travel and fine art photography. I like trying to capture the subtle things that reflect the essence of a person or place. I believe I was drawn to radiology from my love of photography as both have obvious visual similarities."
