"Originally I went into medicine to become a general practitioner or family practitioner. Instead, I became an endocrinologist and then went into the beginning field of nuclear medicine. Both endocrinology and nuclear medicine present intellectual and technical challenges as well as the opportunity to interact with people. Photography is a technically challenging way to show people in a variety of settings which illuminate their lives."
